Robert G. Robillard bid us all a final farewell on Sunday November 20, 2016 in Sebring, FL. of complications of old age.  Mr Robillard was born in the family farmhouse in Pascoag, RI.  He entered The US Navy at the age of 16 and did a two year tour on the USS Mt Olympus.  He then served as a captain on the officers sport fishing charter in Key West, FL.  Robert worked as an offset pressman for Mead in Lawrence, MA and Colonial Press in Clinton, MA.  He joined The Methuen Fire Department and retired after 22 years of service.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman and competition archer.  He was also an expert craftsman building his own saw mill to saw his own logs to build his own log cabin in Vermont.  He was well known for his amazingly endearing laugh and had a natural ability to make others feel welcome.  Robert divided his retirement between N. Troy, Vermont, Chester, NH and Cocoa Beach, FL. 

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ellen (Kildune) Robillard and his family members  include his 2 sons, Robert, Jr, and his wife, Melissa Robillard of Chester, NH and Mountain Lake, FL and John and his wife Julie Robilard of Norton, MA.  Robert also leaves 5 grandchildren, Ashly, Hunter, Hannah, Julia and Chantel as well as his brother, Tom Robillard of Methuen and his sister, Madeline Swiatek of Williamsville, NY.  He had 4 brothers, Ernie, Leo, Tom and Dick who all referred to each other as “Buck”.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday November 30, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.
