Mildred Passler- a classy lady who grew where she was planted in both church and state.

STANDING ON THE SEASHORE

I Am Standing Upon The Seashore.
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone"
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"
And that is dying...

On behalf of myself and my mother, Elizabeth Killen I wish my sympathy to your family. She and my mother were best friends. Now they can talk about times at Lawrence Pumps

I could not have asked for a more caring and loving Great Aunt. She was always a kind and loving person. Her faith and love of God was always present and served her well these 89 years. I am glad that I've had her in my life for 29 of those years. She will be missed dearly by our family, but we know that she is home now, and at peace. I love you Auntie, RIP.

Mildred was a dear sister in our church family. She was kind, wise, and gave us direction on how to be a committed Lutheran. She was greatly loved and will be missed, but her legacy of spiritual strength and wisdom lives on . RIP dear sister xo
