Matthew Henry “Butch” Dwinells of Sandown, NH passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20, 2016.  A lifelong resident of the Lawrence area, he was 55.

Matt was beloved by all who knew him.  He could make anybody laugh with one of his unique jokes.  There was never a dull moment around!  Not only was he fun to be around, he was also there if you needed him.  A phone call on your birthday; help with odd jobs; moving cross country, he was there!

He leaves behind one son, Stephen Dwinells of Methuen, his mother, Helen Dwinells of Salem, NH, his sister and brother–in–law, Lizabeth and Dana Landers of New Bedford, MA, sister and brother–in–law, Veronica and Gary Harris, of Sandown NH and sister and brother–in–law, Marge and Robert Benedict of Methuen. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Chris, David, Scott and Tracy Landers, Jennifer Shugrue, Michelle Strasburger, Julie Garcia, Mark, Andrew and Robert Fraser, Kerry Bohne-Goulet, Vanessa Oppenberg and Jarod Dwinells Matt also has many great nieces and nephews that he is leaving behind.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his sisters, Cynthia Bohne, Christine Dwinells and his grandmother, Helen Harrington.

Calling hours are Friday morning, August 26th from 9:00AM to 10:30AM at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Church, Methuen.
