Mary was a wonderful woman and always had a smile for everyone. She was especially kind to my brother Timmy.

My deepest sympathy to Mary's family. She was a light in our lives.
I headed the Veterans event at St. Anthony's and Mary was the first to volunteer. She was the first to volunteer at all events at our church. She put a smile on all our faces when she walked into a room.
She was so proud of her family. When she visited the members of her family she litmup talking about them and the visit.
She will be missed.
May she Rest In Peace.i

Mary is one of the guiding lights in my life. I say "is" because even after her passing I will carry her spirit, encouragement, guidance with me. Through all the turmoil and change in Lawrence over the last many decades, Mary never had an unkind word for anything or anyone - especially newcomers to our city. No judgement, only acceptance. This stood her apart from many others who I have known who either left Lawrence and never looked back, or who only saw the negative. I knew Mary as a young boy growing up through St. Laurence O'Toole and then again as a grown man as part of Lawrence CommunityWorks. Together and with so many others we turned that positive spirit into positive new opportunities for those that make Lawrence their home today. There are countless ways that Mary's generous and fun personality kept us all going - even when things got rough. I know that her family and friends will all miss her dearly - as will I - but I imagine too that there is some part of us that she 'infected' with her spirit and that will go on and on! Love and Peace to Mary and her family.
