LILLIAN,I HAVE TO SAY WAS THE NICEST PERSON I EVER WORKED WITH. AT ALMYS BACK IN THE 80s.I REMEMBER WORKING WITH LIL LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY. SHE WAS SO DOWN TO EARTH,YOU COULD TALK TO HER ABOUT ANYTHING.IM SO MAD AT MYSELF I WOULD PASS HER STREET. OFTEN BECAUSE. I WOULD GO VISIT MY AUNT WHO DIDNT LIVE FAR FROM HER AT THE BURNHAM RD APARTMENTS,BUT THEN AGAIN LIL WOULDNT OF BEEN THERE BECAUSE SHE WAS AT NEVINS.BARBARA BENNETT IS IN SALEMHAVEN NURSING HOME WITH MY MOM WHO ALSO WORKED IN THE LADIES DEPT WITH LIL AND MYSELF. WHEN I SAW HER I WANTED TO GO VISIT LIL AT HER HOME. EVEN MORE.2 DAYS LATER,I COULDNT BELIEVE MY EYES WHEN I SAW LILS PICTURE IN THE PAPER.I CAN SEE WHY SHE WENT TO BEAUTY SCHOOL,SHE WAS NOT ONLY BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE,BUT ON THE INSIDE IS WHAT MADE HER BEAUTIFLUL.

Gayle and Joe,
I was so sorry to hear of Lil's passing. I have so many fond memories of our time together working at Almy's It was my first working experience and she was always there to give me advice, we always had a lot of laughs together. I would go and visit her after I left Almy's and go for coffee on her break. She was at my wedding and she was always very special to me. My favorite memory of her was running around with her glasses at the base of her nose and her very distinctive voice.
I know you will miss her very much she was a wonderful woman. My thoughts an prayers are with you and your families.
