Dear Bill and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Deane was a truly lovely and wonderful person. She was one of my favourite people ever!! She was so kind, gracious and funny, and I always admired her for that. She was a smart lady, and being around her was a lot of fun. It has been awhile since I was able to see Deane on one of her and Bill's trips to Canada, and I have missed them very much!

I have many fond memories of you all . We had many cookouts together and we were at each others homes for Christmas parties. I and the rest of my siblings called her Aunt Dean. I have thought of you all often and wish you all well. Aunt Dean was always happy and she always made everyone around her smile. Uncle Bill picked a good one when he married Dean. I met Deane once when we brought communion from the West Parish Church community to her in her home. She was so gracious and full of life and good humor. She was extremely grateful to be remembered in this way and to be included in the community -- a community to which she had given so much of her time and talent. She was a delight to be with. Uncle Bill & my wonderful cousins: No perfect words but our thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of your families. Never mind that she was a terrific aunt, "Great Aunt Grammy Deane" was one of my favorite people ever. Barb & I will be among the many who will miss her.
