Loretta L. Dowling, 79, died on Friday March 27, 2015 at The Nevins Nursing Center, Methuen. Mrs. Dowling was born, raised and educated in Lawrence.  She was a foster grandparent in Haverhill for several years.  Loretta enjoyed crafts especially canvas crafts and ceramics. Mostly, she loved being with her family, children and grandchildren.

Her family members include her children, Susan Dowling of Nashua, NH, Michael and his wife Esther Milyaro of Lawrence, Jay Dowling and his fiancé Kathy of Daytona Beach, FL and Robin and her husband Shaun Thornhill of Danville, NH.  She also leaves her grandchildren, Jesse and David Milyaro, Cameron, Christina, Matthew and Dylan Dowling and Seth and Lauren Thornhill and 1 great granddaughter Emma Milyaro and several nephews.

Calling hours will be on Saturday March 28, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A funeral service will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
