Florence Takesian Owen passed away on Sunday January 17, 2016 at her home in Methuen after a short illness. Florence was born in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of Thomas and Frances (Kenny) Hume.  After graduating from Lawrence High School, she worked for G W Marsden and Son Beauty Supply. While being a full time mother and raising a family, she assisted her husband, Charles Takesian, in growing C & C Barber and Beauty Supply. She retired from Capital Distributing.  Florence volunteered at the local hospital and was active in both the Methuen Chapter 204 Order of The Eastern Star and Temple 15 of The White Shrine of Jerusalem. She is survived by her three children; daughters, Joyce Curtin of Methuen,  Charlene Takesian of Pelham, NH and her son, Charles Takesian of Salisbury, MA. She also leaves five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was predeceased by her Husbands, Charles A Takesian,Sr and Edmund Owen, her  parents, two brothers, a sister, and a grandchild. As Florence requested, there are no calling hours and burial will be private in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial donations may be made to either The Salem Animal  Rescue League,4 Sarl  Drive, Salem, NH 03079, The MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 or The Second Baptist Church, 314 Amesbury Line Road, Haverhill, MA 01830.  Arrangements are by The Charles F.
