Marion Jane (Cavanaugh) Gingras, 87, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at The Nevins Nursing Centre, Methuen. Mrs.Gingras was Born in New York City on October 5, 1928 to John and Mary Cavanaugh.  She moved to Somerville, MA and eventually married and she her husband raised five children. Marion loved being a homemaker. She also loved traveling; especially taking cruises. She enjoyed bowling, riding her bike to the beach and attended church regularly. She was greatly loved and treasured and will be missed dearly. We want to thank you for your part in our journey.

Marion’s family members include her husband and friend, Leon D. Gingras, her son, Paul Gingras of Michigan, her daughter, Mary Pickett and her husband, Charles of Salem, NH, her son, Robert Gingras and his wife, Heidi of Naples, Maine, her son, Christopher Gingras of Somerville, MA and her son, David Gingras of Somerville, MA.

She also leaves her four grandchildren, Robert, Jeffrey, Tyler and Sarah as well as her longtime friend, Florence Caggiano of Somerville, MA.  She was predeceased by her brother, John Cavanaugh.

Friends and family are invited to visiting hours on Saturday April 9, 2016 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA.  A memorial service will follow at 1:00PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
