Isabella C. Hutchings, 95, of Methuen, MA passed away peacefully on August 10, 2015 surrounded by her family. Isabella was predeceased by her husband Melvin Hutchings and grandson Shawn Hutchings. She was the daughter of the late John and Jessie (Cairnie) Monroe. Isabella was raised and educated in Andover and was a member of the Free Christian Church.

She is survived by three children, Raymond Hutchings and his wife Mary of Powder Springs, GA, Melvin Hutchings Jr and his wife Karen of Wendell, NC, and Gayle Allen and her husband Tim of Salem, MA as well as 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Isabella leaves two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Caldwell of Haverhill and Mrs. Lillian Hoyt of North Andover.

Isabella retired from Western Electric, North Andover with over 30 years’ service. She had many favorite pastimes including knitting, crocheting, bowling, and was an avid Red Sox fan.  

Isabella will be remembered as a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and friend. Her family was the most important thing to her. She cherished every event and holiday celebration, spending time with those she loved.
