Frederick "Ted" McCraw, 83 of Methuen, passed away on September 14th, 2016 at his home.

Ted was a lifelong resident of Methuen. He was educated in the Methuen Public Schools and Haverhill Trade School for Printing.

Ted served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He then became the second generation owner of Ben Franklin Printing located in Lawrence and later moved to Methuen. He retired from the business in 1994 and his son Mark became the third generation of the business.

Ted was a member of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, a member of the American Legion, and until his retirement he was a member of the Methuen Board of Trade.

Ted was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Patriots. He enjoyed discussing games with his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne E. (Wilson) McCraw; son Mark F.; grandson Adam F.; granddaughter Kaitlyn G. of Glendale, CA; sister in-law Linda Wholley; niece, Elizabeth Keffer of Franklin, VA; nephew, Timothy and his wife Priscilla of Virginia Beach, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Rosemary Scott, his brother in-law Ritchie V. Scott and his nephew Ritchie V. Scott, Jr.

 A private burial will take place at a later date.
