Doris R. Butterfield, 98 of Methuen passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home, Lawrence.  Mrs. Butterfield was born in N. Andover the daughter of Squire and Miriam (Woodley) Barraclough.  She was raised and educated in Methuen.  Doris attended McIntosh Business School of Lawrence and worked as a secretary in the Pacific Mills of Lawrence.  Before her retirement, she worked 23 years in the town clerk’s office in Methuen and served as assistant town clerk from 1971 to 1978.  Doris enjoyed dancing and flower gardening.

The widow of Charles Butterfield, her family members include her nephew, Scott Skea and his wife, Roxanne of Methuen.

Friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 10 to 11 am at The Charles F.
