Welcome to the memorial page for

Craig S. Lefebvre

May 28, 2016

Craig S. Lefebvre passed away at his home in Derry, NH, on May 28, 2016 at the age of 51 surrounded by the love of his family.

Craig is survived by his fiancé Barbara Palazzo of Derry, NH and their 3 children Jason and Marissa Palazzo of Derry NH and Craig Junior of Plaistow, NH, his mother Patricia Lefebvre of South Lawrence, 2 sisters Debbie Squires and Marie Lefebvre of Derry, NH, and predeceased by his brother Glenn Lefebvre of South Lawrence.

Craig’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understand that the quality of one’s existence is far more meaningful than the quantity of one’s life.   Craig was born on January 3, 1965.  He worked as a skilled painter and was a jack-of-all-trades. He was happiest in his “man cave” spending time with many of lifelong friends.   He was a kind, giving, gentle “bull-in-a-china-shop” man, but the word most often used to describe Craig by the countless friends he made in his life is fun, fun loving, and fun to be with. He was a class act. He made many people happy in his life, just by being Craig.  The love of Craig’s life, Barbara Palazzo, describes him as “beautifully imperfect.”

Cancer took Craig at a young age, but during his journey, he taught those around him something by his example.  We often don’t embrace and speak of the love we feel for those close to us every day, because we take for granted that there will be another day.  Craig enlightened us all as his own awakening took place, and he spoke of the true depth of the love within his heart each day of his short journey.

Lovingly referred to as “Eggy” and “Eggman”, Craig was a wonderful and loving father to his children Jason, Craig Jr., and Missy.  He loved his children with all his heart.  For Missy he was a spider-killing super hero, for Jason, he was the guy that would do anything to make someone smile, and for Craig Jr., his father’s “mini-me”.   Craig and Barbara began their love story more than 17 years ago.  For Barbara, “it was the longest one night stand I ever had.”  Craig’s tribute to Barbara, “You changed my life, my attitude, and I just want you to know I love you with all my heart.”   Two people who are sadly separated by death, will remain forever together in their hearts.

Services will be held at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen MA on Thursday, June 2, 2016 between 4-7pm followed by a brief service. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Veteran’s of Foreign War (VFW) on 26 River St., Methuen Ma.  Interment information will be updated as arrangements are finalized.
