Amelia T. (Abdullah) Vogler ,92, of Lawrence died on Sunday July 19, 2015 at The Berkeley Nursing Center, Lawrence.  Mrs. Vogler was born in Lawrence and raised in Methuen. She lived in Methuen for most of her life.  Before retirement, Amelia worked as a stitcher at Cardinal Shoe Company and also at ITT Semiconductor of Lawrence. She was active with The Methuen Senior Citizens.

The widow of Fred Vogler, her family members include her son, Robert F. and his wife, Dianne Vogler of Methuen as well as several nieces and nephews. The daughter of the late Alec and Sadie (Soda) Abdullah, Amelia was pre-deceased by her longtime friend and companion, Robert Morgan and her brother, Edward and her sister, Edna.

Amelia’s family would like to extend their extreme gratitude to all the staff of The Berkeley Nursing Center for their deep compassion and the love shown to Amelia during her three and a half year stay at The Berkeley.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday July 24, 2015 from 10 to 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Council Parish at St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen. A Funeral Mass will follow on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Theresa Church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Berkeley Retirement Home and Nursing Center Activity Fund, 150 Berkeley St., Lawrence, MA. 01841 or to the Methuen Senior Citizens Center, 77 Lowell St., Methuen, MA. 01844.
