Adrian Lambert, 77, of Methuen, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015.

Adrian was born in Methuen on March 13, 1938, to the late Aime and Osite (Alie) Lambert. He attended St. Theresa’s Elementary School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1955. He received his BA in Education from the Lowell State Teachers College in 1959 and an LPN Certification from Northern Essex Community College. Adrian served in the U.S. Army between the years of 1962 and 1964 during the Vietnam era. He was stationed at First Army Headquarters, on Governors Island, NY, and received secret clearance, allowing for him to be in charge of First Army Secret Documents.

Adrian taught at both the Wetherbee School in Lawrence, MA, and in Denver, Colorado from 1964 to 1969. After teaching in Colorado, Adrian travelled extensively through Europe and Turkey, settling in Greece from 1970 to 1980, where he taught English as a second language.

He worked most recently as an LPN at Nevins Nursing & Rehab Centre, and retired in 2000.

Adrian is survived by his sister, Corinne Lucier of Methuen; his brother Albert Lambert of Methuen; all of his special nieces and nephew, in particular, Debra Morin and her husband John “PJ”, and Dedra Daigle and her partner Henry Cornu, other nieces and nephews include, Donna Aube, Diana Lucier, Drena Lucier, Darla Lucier, Dacia Lucier, Brandi Lambert, Brandon Lambert and their companions; several grand nieces and nephews; and great grand nephews and great grandniece. And finally, by his companion cat, Glama.

Family and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 19, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Veteran’s Section of Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. Memorial Donations may be made in Adrian’s name to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 or to Friends of the Nevins Library, 305 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
