Irene C. Lamontagne, 88, a lifetime resident of Lawrence passed away peacefully on Sunday May 24, 2015 at The Nevins Nursing Center in Methuen.

Irene was a member of the former Sacred Heart Parish of Lawrence. She retired from Western Electric Company/AT&T, North Andover. Irene enjoyed being with family and
friends, cooking, and attending to her garden.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth L. and his wife, Donna Lamontagne of Andover;  her daughter, Linda L. and her husband, Raymond  McKay of S. Glastonbury, CT; her six grandchildren, Laura, Donna, Leo, and William Lamontagne and Christopher and Benjamin McKay; as well as several nieces and nephews including Michael Fortin of  Lawrence. Irene is pre-deceased by her husband, Leo J. Lamontagne, and her sisters, Lillian Pellerin and Doris Fortin.
 
 Calling hours will be on Sunday May 31, 2015 from 2 to 5 PM at The Arthur J. Scott Funeral Home, 298 S. Broadway, Lawrence. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday June 1 at 11:30AM in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St., Andover, MA. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Nevins Nursing Center, 10 Ingalls Ct., Methuen, MA, 01844.
