William J. Trainor

William “Bill” Trainor, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA, at the age of 44. He was born in Lawrence, MA and was the son of the late William and Ann (Cowman) Trainor. 

He graduated from Greater Lawrence Technical High School and in the continuing years pursued his education in Information Technology. Bill worked as a Plant Manager and Manager of Quality Control in the Lawrence and North Andover area.

Bill was a dedicated father and loving husband. Family was his priority and meant everything to him. He enjoyed watching his nightly Jeopardy.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Denise (Barreto) Trainor, five children; daughters, Katelyn (Trainor) Goldsberry and her husband Shane, Brittany Trainor Jimenez and her husband JJ, Destiny Leonor and her boyfriend Jason Michelini and Mackenzie Trainor; son Billy Trainor Jr.; grandson Jet William Jimenez, Kaeden William Trainor and Hunter Thomas Trainor; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Patrick O’Connor and wife Linda, Deborah Nickerson and husband James, Patricia Coughlin and husband Anthony White, Daniel Trainor and wife Stephanie, Kathleen Dascoli and William Paquin.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA, 01844. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA, 01843. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
