Ursula M. Hale, 80, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the Newton-Wellesley Center in Wellesley, MA. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lucy (Greco) Purpora.
Ursula was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Saint Mary’s High School. She worked as a secretary for Lawrence Savings Bank. Ursula had a passion for animals, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is predeceased by both her husband William C. Hale Sr. and her brother Carmen J. Purpora. She is remembered with love by her son and daughter-in-law; George W. Hale and his wife Jean of Salem, and her son and daughter-in-law; William C. Hale, Jr. and his wife Christine of Lawrence; Her grandchildren William C. Hale, lll and his wife Jamie of Methuen, Trevor J. Hale of Lawrence, and Cameron A. Hale and his wife Alexandra of Tennessee. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Jayden and Juliana, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside funeral service will take place Tuesday, April 28th at 12:00PM at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence. Arrangements are under the care of Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
