Therese Yvonne Mikol

Therese Yvonne (Levasseur) Mikol, known affectionately as Terry, formerly Terry Donahue, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, in Lowell, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. At 86, Terry leaves behind a legacy of faith and love.

Born March 7, 1939, in Lowell, MA, to Leon Levasseur, Sr. and Harriette Levasseur, Terry was raised in Dracut by her father, Leon Sr., and stepmother, Florianne Levasseur, whom she cherished as her mother. She graduated from Dracut High School and worked at Western Electric until marrying her first husband, Paul R. Donahue, Sr., becoming a devoted homemaker and mother.

Widowed at 36, Terry raised her children and deepened her faith in Jesus Christ, sharing her gifts of singing and evangelism. Her heartfelt ministry led many to faith. In 1989, Terry married Jack Mikol, a widower. Their 36-year marriage, filled with love and faith, inspired many. They cherished memories at their Lake Winnipesaukee home with family.

Terry was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Church in North Reading, MA, with her husband, Jack. She previously served at Riverside Assembly of God in Methuen, MA.

Terry is survived by her husband, Jack (John) Mikol; children, Michele Fontaine (Andre), Daniel Donahue (Francine), and Paul Donahue Jr.; stepdaughter, Lynne Marie Ellis (Wayne); sister, Dorothy (Levasseur) Crofton; grandchildren, Timothy Beaulieu, Lindsay Fontanez, Stephanie Simon, Sean Donahue, Bradley Donahue, Gregory Donahue, Aidan Donahue, and Joshua Ellis; and several cherished great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Paul R. Donahue, Sr.; her daughter, Kelley (Donahue) Simon; her grandson, Stephen Simon, Jr.; her stepdaughter, Donna (Mikol) Lister; and her brothers, Francis Levasseur, Sr. and Leon (Buddy) Levasseur Jr.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill St., North Reading, MA. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse International Relief.

Terry’s 60-year testimony of faith in Jesus Christ will resonate through eternity, living on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
