Susan Mary Flagg

Susan Mary Flagg, affectionately our Emma, 81 of Methuen passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday November 29, 2021 at Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers. Susan was born on December 23, 1939 and formerly lived in Reading, MA. She was the daughter of Agnes Finneran and the beloved niece of Mamie and Frank Maher. Her family members include her husband of 61 years Peter H. Flagg and her children Sarah and her husband Gregg Gambell, Scott and his wife Judy Flagg, Caroline and her husband Phil Hamel, and Steven and his wife Jennifer Flagg. Susan also leaves 9 grandchildren, Ben, Shawn, Christine, Josh, Molly, Caty, Danny, Peter and Allison.

Susan loved her family beyond measure and especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren.  The many birthdays, anniversaries, holiday dinners and parties together made her happy and proud. Over the years she and Peter attended more of their grandkids sporting, theater, school events than you could count. She also liked weekend getaways with Peter in Maine and Mystic, Ct. Susan was also a member of St. Monica Parish, Methuen.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday December 3, 2021 from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
