Stanley J. Podbielski

Stanley J. Podbielski, 102, of Methuen passed away on Thursday February 13, 2020 at the Nevins Nursing Centre, Methuen.  Mr. Podbielski was born on February 4, 1918 in Lawrence and was, raised and educated in Lawrence. Stanley served with The US Army and was honorably discharged on September 5, 1945.  Before retirement, he worked in the maintenance department of Danvers State Hospital. Stanley was an accomplished artist and he had the gift of making people laugh.

The only child of Leonora (Gralla) Podbielski and William Podbielski, his family members include, his wife Gemma (Buggea) Podbielski and his daughters Sally DeCato and Patricia Podbielski as well as one grandson Stanley DeCato.  He was predeceased by his previous wife Eleanor Podbielski who passed away in June of 1993.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial Mass on Tuesday March 3, 2020 at 11:00 am in St. Lucy Church, 243 Merrimack Street, Methuen, MA.
