Sonia (Jacobchuk) Beausejour, 87, of Methuen, passed away peacefully at Cedar View Nursing Home in Methuen on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of the late Frederick and Annie (Jeziac) Jacobchuk, Sonia was born in Methuen on May 8, 1934. She was educated in Methuen schools and was a graduate of Searles High School, Class of 1952. She was employed at Bell Labs in Lawrence for several years. She , along with her late Husband Emile, owned and operated J. Philip’s on Osgood Street in Methuen for many years until their retirement. She summered at Lake Winnisquam in New Hampshire for over 40 years, with her husband and family. She travelled extensively, especially throughout Europe. She enjoyed being and working around her home.
Sonia was the wife of the late Emile P. Beausejour, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage, until his passing, and is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Beausejour and her significant other, Robert F. Burdin III, both of Methuen; a sister, Nellie Skinner of North Andover; a sister-in-law, Pauline Kameese of Framingham, MA, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 12 Noon, at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 Noon.
