Silvia Arcidiacono

Silvia Arcidiacono, 64, of Methuen passed away at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen on January 22nd after a long battle with cancer.  She was born in Germany on November 15, 1958 and first came to the United States in 1960. She was educated in the Lawrence and Methuen school systems. She participated in the Methuen High School Marching Band and Track. She worked as a Dental Assistant before working as a manufacturer at Raytheon for many years. Silvia was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with immediate and extended family. She loved the beach, walking the shore, and swimming in the ocean. She also enjoyed cooking; camping; playing cards; shopping for clothes, jewelry and shoes; and pampering herself with facials, manicures, and pedicures.

Silvia is survived by her parents, Joseph and Hildegard Arcidiacono, brother William and his wife Jessica, sister Diane and her husband Kurt, 6 nephews (Jared, Mitchell, Ryan, Shane, Dylan and Andrey), and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be missed dearly by all.

Silvia was cremated on January 26th and desired to have her ashes scattered in the ocean. The family is planning to honor her wishes in the May/June timeframe and will be holding a private service to celebrate her life at that time.
