Sandra Rogalski – Methuen, MA

Sandra Rogalski, 78 years old. Her final wish came true, after years of fighting elder protection, friends and facilities to remain in her home. Sandra passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 20, 2023. Donna Silva, who was like a daughter, best friend and caregiver, was able to grant her wish with the help of her elder law lawyer, Chris Colwell and Elder Service home coordinator, Lisa Fitter, who facilitated some of her care and monitored her safety, as well as AHC home health staff, especially Venial & Beatrice who took the best care of Sandra and her sister, Joyce. 

Sandra grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School. She retired from the IRS after 40 plus years of service.  She indulged in her passion of traveling over the years, taking several cruises and trips with her friends.  Foxwoods became her second home for many years. Overnight stays and day trips with friends, filled with fun, laughter and self-indulgence made her extremely happy.

She is also survived by Sean Silva (caregiver and all-round support), Scott and Gianna Silva along with their children, Braelynn and Owen who brought so much happiness and love to her.

Sandra was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Fahnestock who passed at their home on May 24, 2022, her mother, Emily (Mele) Smith and her husband, Bill Smith as well as her father, Walter Rogalski and her beloved Aunt Anna Salach.
