Ruth Esonga Obenge – Lawrence, MA

It's with a heavy heart, yet filled with so much love, that we share the sad news about our incredible mom and beloved wife, Ruth Esonga Obenge. She peacefully passed away on April 14th, 2026, at the beautiful age of 83.

Ruth was truly a special lady whose spirit lives on through her six wonderful children and seventeen cherished grandchildren. We're also comforted knowing she's now reunited with her dear husband and two children who left us too soon.

If you ever met Ruth, you'd know she had the biggest, most generous heart. She was always there, ready to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or just share a warm smile. Her compassion and warmth touched countless lives, and she left a little bit of her kindness with everyone she encountered. We're all going to miss her terribly.

Mom, you've left such an unforgettable mark on our hearts, and we'll carry your love and memories with us always. We love you so very much, and we hope you're resting peacefully.

To celebrate Ruth's remarkable life and say our final goodbyes, we'll be holding a service on August 22nd, 2026, at St. Barbara Catholic Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, MA 01801. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 12 PM. The Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 PM at the church. Burial will take place in Cameroon, Africa.
