Rosa Martinez – Lawrence, MA
Rosa Martinez, who was born on April 30, 1956, in Dorado, Puerto Rico, and passed away on April 21, 2026, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She died of natural causes surrounded by the love and memories she created throughout her life.
My family and I are heartbroken to share the passing of my beloved mother, Rosa Martinez. She was a tough and feisty woman with a strong spirit and a heart full of love. She faced life’s challenges with courage and determination, always putting her family first and never backing down from what she believed in. Her strength and personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Rosa studied in Puerto Rico and later built her working life as a Certified Nurse Assistant, a role that reflected her natural instinct to help and comfort others. Through her work, she offered not only practical care but also patience, understanding, and respect. Her compassion touched many lives, and her commitment to serving others was one of the defining qualities of her character.
Family was at the center of Rosa’s heart. She is survived by her daughter, Alejandra Rosado; her daughter-in-law, Elis y Ortiz; and her sons, Nicolas Rosado, Nelson Rosado, and Jose Rosado. She also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren, including Nalia A. Rivera, Precious M. Rosado, Yaritza J. Torres, Jadalise Rodriguez, Zethian Rodriguez, Sasha L. Rosado, Elyahna Gonzalez, Jayden Guzman, Chacity N. Rosado, Avery Alfonso, Ezra Batistine, and Nicolas Rosado. Each of them held a special place in her life, and she cherished the joy, pride, and connection that came from being part of a growing family.
Rosa’s home was filled with the sounds and traditions that brought her happiness. She loved going to the movies and especially enjoyed eating lobster at the beach, where she could relax and take in the beauty of the moment. Music was also a source of joy for her, and she loved Hispanic Christmas songs and reggaeton music, which reflected the spirit, energy, and cultural pride she carried throughout her life. These simple pleasures brought her comfort and delight and became part of the memories her loved ones will hold close.
Those who knew Rosa will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, relative, and friend whose life was built on care, family, and enduring love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her, and her legacy will continue through the many lives she touched with her kindness and devotion. Though she has departed this life, the love she gave and the example she set will remain a lasting comfort to her family and all who mourn her.
