Robert B. Tucker – Derry, NH

Robert B. Tucker, 83, of Derry, NH died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 30th at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.  Bob was born in Boston and raised in Roxbury, MA. He lived for 35 years in Hampstead, NH.  Bob retired from Raytheon in Andover, MA where he worked for 30 years.

Bob loved going to the beach.  He enjoyed walking the Mall and conversating with people.  He very much enjoyed going out to breakfast with his family.  In 1996, Bob ran as a write-in Independent presidential candidate.  He cared deeply for his country and was very passionate about politics and loved to debate.  He also enjoyed participating with his wife in the Feast of the Three Saints in Lawrence each year.

He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family.

In 1973, Bob entered into the world of Martial Arts Goju Ryu Karate and attained a rank of third degree (San Dan) black belt.  For several years, he owned The Dojo Karate School located in Hampstead, NH where he taught his craft.  He loved teaching Karate and was beloved by his students.

Bob was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis (Castricone) Tucker.

He is survived by his children, Lynda Killeen and husband Gregory of Hampstead, NH, Brian Doyle and his wife Patricia of Methuen, MA, Melody Arnold of Derry, NH, and Jodi Tucker of Derry, NH.

His grandchildren, Nicholas Doyle and his wife Angela of Danville, NH, Kayla Corsetti and her husband John of Methuen, MA, Ryan Doyle and his wife Tori of Kingston, NH, Alyssa Gauthier of Salem, NH, Jacob Arnold of Salem, NH, and Aubrey Arnold of Derry, NH.

His four great grandchildren, Owen, Ryleigh and Grayson Doyle of Danville, NH and Aria Doyle of Kingston, NH, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Myrtle Louise (Tucker) Krikau; and his parents, Marion and Lawrence Tucker of Roxbury, MA.

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at The Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.

The Funeral Service is private.
