Robert Walter “Bob” Potvin – Lawrence, MA
Robert Walter “Bob” Potvin, 66 of Lawrence passed away after a long illness on Wednesday January 17,2024.
Bob was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1975. Bob’s chosen profession was accounting for the Animal Rescue League of Boston. During his time there, Bob fostered many animals back to health. He had an avid love of animals and dedicated a good part of his life caring for them selflessly. Bob, also volunteered his time to St. Augustine’s Parish in Andover where he developed caring relationships with several members.
Bob will be remembered for his light-hearted witty sense of humor. He had the ability to make people laugh even in the darkest of times. He was extremely generous to his family whom he loved dearly.
Bob is predeceased by his parents Napoleon and Irene (Perron) Potvin. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his sisters, Jeanne Molloy of Haverhill, Diane Bard of Lawrence and Anne Martineau and her husband David of Methuen. Bob is also survived by his nieces, Lynda Gomez and husband Erick of Methuen, JoAnn Jones and husband Richard of Florida, Desiree Jacobson of Lawrence, Kerry Bott and husband Tyler of Andover, Shannon Molloy of Haverhill and by his nephew, Richard Jacobson of Lawrence. Several great nieces and great nephews also survive him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Church in Andover on Tuesday, January 23rd at 1:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held later in the spring.
The family is extremely grateful for the excellent care provided to Bob by the dedicated and caring Lawrence General Hospital ICU staff.
