Rita A. (Valliere) Riopelle

Rita A. Riopelle - Clearwater, FL

Rita A Riopelle passed away peacefully on March 31, 2020 at the age of 89.  Rita was born in Methuen, MA on July 30,1930, the daughter of the late Odilon and Laura (Fluet) Valliere.  She was educated at St. Theresa's Grammar and High School.  She remained an active member of the Parish.  After raising her four children, she worked for the AAA of Merrimack Valley until her retirement.

 Rita had lifelong passions for gardening and sewing, she was also a dedicated quilter. She was a member of several quilting Guilds and groups in MA, NH, and FL.  She enjoyed the countless hours working among her friends.  Rita generously gifted her designs to family, friends, numerous charities and fundraising efforts.

 Rita is predeceased by her husband Roland, who remained the love of her life.  She was the loving mother of and is survived by her daughters; Claire Marchand, Denise (Robert) Sample, and her sons; Michael (Diane), and Thomas.  She was also the caring grandmother of and is also survived by, Nicole, Bethany, Joshua and Jonathan, and proud of her great-grandchildren, Miranda and Nathan.  She is also survived by her cousin, Louise Fluet as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.  Rita was also the sister of the late, Arline Riopelle, Irene Frederick, and her brother, Robert Valliere.

Due to current conditions, there will be no calling hours and the burial service will be private.
