Rita M. Ouellette

On December 7th, 2022, Rita M. (Roy) Ouellette received her wings to join the many angels waiting for her.  She was 91 years old.  Born in Lawrence, MA in 1931, to the late Jean Thomas Roy and Claudia (Gagne) Roy, Rita graduated from Sacred Heart "all girls" High School in South Lawrence, later residing in Derry, NH with the love of her life, her husband Joseph W. Ouellette for 51 years.

Rita raised 5 children and devoted her heart to bringing smiles to the hearts of everyone she met.  She may not have attended college; but Rita was the control center of the family business, Mark-All Industries in Lawrence, MA for many years.  She went on to open her own section of the screen-printing business in Derry, NH, selling printed t-shirts to businesses and local shoppers for several years.  Never wanting to retire, she continued to oversee the financial part of the company as she devoted her time to spending as much time as possible with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In later years, she spent many hours traveling to Foxwoods, playing Bingo, and stealing as much time as she could with her close-knit group of girlfriends.  

Rita is survived by her sons, Ron Ouellete and his wife Julie of Wolfeboro, NH, Gary Ouellette and his wife Kathy of Atkinson, NH, Joe Ouellette and his wife Linda of Londonderry, NH, her daughter Melinda Labo and her husband Greg of Derry, NH, and her daughter-in-law Barbara Ouellette of Texas, and many loving grand-children, great-grand-children, nieces and nephews. She also leaves her sisters Annette Haseltine and her husband Doug of Minnesota, Lucille Trochesset of Virginia her brother Armand “Joseph” Roy of Massachusetts and her sister-in-law Carla Roy of New Hampshire. Rita was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her son Dennis, her sisters Caroline Roy and Juliette (Roy) Mckinnon and her brother Raymond Roy.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday December 15, 2022 from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.
