Richard A. Fredrickson, 69, of North Andover, passed away on Wednesday, January 8,2020, at Lawrence General Hospital.
The son of the late Carl and Ruth D. (Haller) Fredrickson, Richard was born in Lawrence, MA on August 29, 1950. He was a graduate of North Andover High School, class of 1968, and was in the chemical engineering division at Lowell Technological Institute, now UMass Lowell. He was employed by Converse Rubber Company. For over 30 years, he was a school bus driver for Trombly Motor Coach Company, mainly in Andover. He also drove for high school athletic events, which he enjoyed. He attended all the games he drove for and was considered a team’s “mascot” or “good luck charm”, as they won most of their events. Richard was a lifelong resident of North Andover. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and repairing anything. He especially enjoyed helping people with any project they needed.
Richard is survived by his brother Carl Daniel Fredrickson and his wife Linda of Atkinson, NH; two nieces and their husbands, Kristen and Tom Walker of Hampstead, NH, and Jessica and Mark Monroe of Auburn, NH; nephew Steven Fredrickson of Newton, NH; grand nieces and nephews, Jackson Walker, Oliver Monroe, Violet Monroe, and Josephine Monroe; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
