Raymond Bruce Obituary

Raymond “Ray” W. Bruce, 90, of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday December 11, 2021 peacefully at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.  Ray was born on June 21, 1931, in Methuen, MA, the son of Walter and Melda (Potter) Bruce.  His family members include his wife of 66 years, Bertha Ruth (Bean) Bruce, his daughter, Carol (Bruce) Vining of Keller, TX, his son, Dan Bruce and his wife Jennifer of Salem, NH, his granddaughters, Melissa Vining of Fort Worth, TX and Lyndsey Vining of Little Elm, TX and his great grandson, Paxton Ray Keyworth of Fort Worth, TX. Ray also leaves his sister-in-law Jeanette Bean (Couture) of Methuen, MA as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Ray attended and graduated from Methuen public schools, Haverhill Trade School and Franklin Tech.  He served with and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy Seabees.  His career as a Master Electrician of IBEW Local 103 spans 70 years and he was the proud owner of Boulder Electric Corporation.  His work included New York City high-rise buildings in the 50’s and commercial work in the numerous mills and businesses in the Merrimack Valley area.  Ray was also a 56-year member of St. Matthew’s Lodge, AF & AM of Andover.

 Family and friends are invited to graveside services on Friday December 17, 2021 at 10:00 am at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Grove St., Methuen, MA. Guests are asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. Arrangements are by the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.
