Raymond J. Berthold

Raymond passed away on June 7, 2026 at the age of 98. He was born in Lawrence, MA on May 15, 1928 and was one of ten children of Joseph and Laura (Fluet) Berthold. Ray is survived by his younger brother Authur of Salem, NH. Ray was completely devoted to his family, especially his mother. He was a Korean War veteran and an alum of the University of Lowell. Ray worked for the commonwealth of Massachusetts as a surveyor for many years and is a lifelong resident of the Merrimack Valley. He enjoyed playing golf in the summer and skiing in the winter. He was also an avid sports fan.

Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Thursday June 11, 2026 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday at St Michael Church, 196 Main St. N.Andover, MA. Burial will be at St Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
