Peter Francis DePesa

Peter Francis DePesa, 81, of Quincy, MA, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025. Peter was born on October 27, 1943, to the late Peter and Helen DePesa. 

Peter graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in Boston’s North End in 1961. Shortly after, he proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army in October of that year. He began his service in New Jersey, where he received specialized training in radar installations, and was later stationed in Germany, where he worked on radar towers — a role he carried out with great skill. He also served others as a firefighter EMT in the city of Quincy for many years. 

Peter built a remarkable career as a construction expert witness, where his deep industry knowledge, attention to detail, and unwavering honesty made him a trusted voice in complex cases. He was proud of the reputation he earned through decades of dedication to his work.

A true lover of fine dining, Peter had an appreciation for great food, good conversation, and laughter shared around a table. Family parties were among his greatest joys.

He is survived by his brother Joseph DePesa, his children Peter DePesa, Jr., Robert (Alecia) DePesa, and Robyn (Philip) Nizzardo, and his six grandchildren, Amanda, Peter, Marino, Mircea, Marinela, and Laila.

A private celebration of life will be held with close family and friends. 

Peter’s life was a beautiful blend of hard work, love, and celebration. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.
