Pauline Judge Obituary

Pauline Lorraine (Lacourse) Judge, 89, passed away June 18, 2026 at home surrounded by her children. My Mom was born at Lawrence General Hospital to the late William and Eva (Denoncourt) Lacourse. She attended Mt Carmel, and later graduated from St Anne's High School class of 1955.

Mom was a very active parishioner of St Augustine’s Chapel on Tower Hill, and now part of Our Lady of Good Counsel at St Theresa Church Methuen. She served as a Religious Education Teacher for 22 years.  More recently she was part of the Bible Study groups, Women's Group, and enjoyed baking for the monthly luncheon series. Her skills knitting prayer shawls and lap blankets shone as an avid member of the knitting group.

Mom's first job was at First National Food stores, which is where she met the love of her life, my Dad. She then worked for Western Electric, buying stock there enabling the young couple to purchase their lifetime home. After 16 years of taking care of her 5 kids and husband she went back to work at Wang Labs. Her career continued at 3 other computer companies before she worked for 14 years at the Bay State Gas Company. Throughout her later working career, she partnered with her neighbor and dear friend Barbara Foster at each job.

Mom was a voracious reader, having read hundreds of mystery novels over the years.  Her passions though were cooking and baking, and her Thanksgiving stuffing was renowned, especially at Patriot tailgate parties! Both Mom and Dad loved to vacation in the fall in Vermont, browsing through book stores and leaf peeping. She also enjoyed attending her kids and grandkids sporting events, cheering us all on, and supporting us in any way possible.

Pauline is predeceased by her husband of 57 years Francis Henry Judge. She is survived by her son Francis Patrick Judge of Andover MA, her four daughters: Kathleen Wordell and her husband Glen of Little Compton RI, Marjorie Dastous and her husband Steve of The Villages FL, Lynda DiPhilippo and her husband Joseph of Falmouth ME, and Amy Thompson and her husband Shaun of Seabrook NH. Grammy loved and got to enjoy all of her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Mom is also survived by a sister Margaret Blanchette, her son Michael, a niece, a grandniece, along with several cousins and many friends.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, June 25th, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Methuen. A funeral mass will be celebrated June 26th at St Theresa Church 22 Plymouth St, Methuen at 10 a.m. Burial will occur at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Lawrence.
