Paul Gerald Heman, 78, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, surrounded by his family.
The son of the late Edmond and Theresa (Gebo) Heman, Paul was born in Methuen, MA on September 5, 1943. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Class of 1960 and Wentworth Institute in Boston. He served in the United States Army Reserves as a Sergeant. He was the owner of a business related to the Leather Tanning Machine Industry. Later, he was employed as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service at the Hampstead, NH Post Office for many years until he retired. He received numerous awards from the Postal Service for his exceptional personal service to clients on his mail route. He and his friend, Al Longo, were avid fisherman with “their theory of catch and release”. Paul was a longtime resident of Salem, NH.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie Ann (LeClair) Heman of Salem, NH; two sons, Shawn Heman of Hampton, NH and Matthew Heman and his wife Michelle of East Hampstead, NH; 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Kyle, Sarah and Bryan, and several cousins.
