Patrick M. O’Connor, 55, originally of Lawrence, Massachusetts and later of Methuen, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 2, 2023, after a battle with cancer.
Born in Lawrence on August 12, 1967, Patrick was a graduate of Greater Lawrence Technical High School in Andover, Class of 1985, in Automotive Technology. Patrick was employed at Shep Company on Canal Street in Lawrence with his family for many years, prior to moving to Bullhead City, Arizona, where he lived for 10 years, with his wife, Linda O’Connor. In Arizona, he enjoyed walking along the Colorado River, bringing family to Oatman, AZ to see the Burros, and buying saltwater taffy. He enjoyed spending time in the White Mountains with his sister, hanging with his brother, spending time with his nephews, and tubing down the Saco River. He loved to make people laugh and was quick with his witty comebacks. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
A loving son, brother, husband and uncle, Patrick was predeceased by his wife, Linda O’Connor; mother, Ann Trainor; father, William Trainor; and brother, Billy Trainor, Patrick is survived by his sisters, Deborah Nickerson and husband, James; Patricia Coughlin and fiancé, Anthony White; Christina Pica and husband, Todd Pica; brother, Daniel Trainor and wife, Stephanie; a sister-in-law, Denise Trainor; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, Stephen and wife Daniela; James, Jr. and girlfriend, Samantha; Kevin; Sean; Ryan; Christopher; Brittany and husband, JJ; Billy and wife, Kaitlyn; Katelyn; Destiney; Mackenzie; Miranda; Jaimision; and Anna; great uncle to Danyeliz; Adrianne; Brett; Ryleigh; Amelia; Katrina; Jet; Kaeden; Hunter; and many loving friends.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Augustine’s Chapel, Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 124 Ames Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.
