Patricia Agnes (Fay) Wilson, 89, passed away June 15, 2021 at Methuen Village. She was born in Newport, Rhode Island to Charles J. Fay and Mary Agnes (Hughes) Fay. Raised in Newport, RI, Patsy was a graduate of Regis College and completed her MSW at Boston College. She dedicated her life work to the care of mental health needs for the State of Massachusetts and ended her career as the Chief Medical Assistance Program Coordinator for the 766 Program.
Patsy was an adored Wife, devoted Mother, and beloved Nana. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, William R. Wilson, her sister, Mary Casavant, brother, Charles J. Fay and great grandson, Dylan Demeritt.
Patsy was not only the Matriarch of the family but considered herself “the Queen Mother”. She had a wickedly, dry sense of humor given that she was part of the “Royal Family”. She was worthy of the title as her family and friends doted on her. Growing up in Newport she acquired a love of the ocean and spent summers there and on Plum Island, MA. She enjoyed playing Bridge, reading, and spending time with her beloved Golden Retriever, Gus.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Elizabeth Frasca and husband David, James Wilson and wife Gina, Ellen Weinhold and husband Michael, William Wilson and wife Cheri; and daughters-in-law Michelle and Karen. grandchildren; Kim and husband Matt, James and wife Liana, Michael and wife Caitlin, Kate, Al, Erin, Patrick, Willy, Chris, Drew, Sean, Ian and great grandchildren; Bryan, Deborah, James and Camille.
Patsy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her friends and staff at Methuen Village, especially Nancy and all of the CNAs for their kind and compassionate care.
