Patricia Rischer Obituary

Patricia L.“Patt“ (Dauber) Rischer passed away peacefully on  Friday April 22, 2022  at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness.

Patricia was born September 29, 1951 to the late Richard and Charlotte Dauber in Harrisburg, PA. The family moved to Andover, MA where Patt attended school and graduated from Andover High School Class of 1969. After graduation she worked for Prudential Insurance for a short time.

Patt married Jim Rischer in June of 1971 and had over 50 wonderful years together. Soon after their marriage Patt joined the family business at Raymond’s Turkey Farm in Methuen. Patt and Jim have owned and operated Raymond’s for the past 25 years. She took great pride in the farm and was very proud of it. She loved seeing the customers especially during The Thanksgiving Holiday. She was also very glad when her children joined her running the business.

Patt loved being with her family whether at work or at the summer cottage in Windham, NH. She also enjoyed going to her condo in Naples, FL after a very busy Holiday Season at Raymond’s

Her family members include her husband R. James Rischer; her daughters Victoria Rischer of Methuen and Kimberly Ellis and her husband Larry of Methuen and her son Jamie Rischer and his wife Becky of Salem, NH.  She also leaves her grandchildren Christopher Conley, Devyn Conley, Rianne Eskel, Aryana Rischer and Alex Ellis and her brother Richard Dauber and his wife Lyn of Canandaigua, NY, a nephew Shawn and niece Wendy of NY. Patt also leaves her beloved dog Wizard.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Methuen, Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and her visiting nurse Artie for the great care and compassion they gave Patricia.

At Patt’s request funeral services will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to Dana-Farber and The Jimmy Fund at danafarber.jimmyfund.org/donations/cancer.
