Nelida Lopez age 77 of New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Hannah Dustin in Haverhill, MA. She was born on October 21, 1944 in Santa Rosa Bayamon, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late, Jesus and Eduviges (Torres) Rivera.  She was raised and educated in Puerto Rico.

She was a wonderful homemaker who loved raising her family and was always willing to take in anyone who was in need.  Weather it was to advise them or just to provide a place to stay, she was always there.

Her favorite thing to do was just being a good friend as she loved everyone.

She is survived by her children, Lydia, William, Jr., Carmen and her adopted daughter, Sariah. She was predeceased by her husband, William Lopez in March of 2010.

Calling hours are Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 2 – 5:30 PM at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A funeral service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home at 5:30 PM.  Burial will be private at the convenience of her family.
