Nancy Laura (Lapierre) Ulbin – Methuen, MA

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 17, 2025.

She was born in Haverhill, MA to the Late Ulric and Cecile (Chagnon) Lapierre on Feb 23, 1939. She was raised in Medford, MA, and graduated from Medford High School in 1956. Nancy went on to become an LPN in the early 70’s and worked at Bon Secours Hospital in Methuen for many years. She moved to Florida in 1988 and was employed as a nurse until she retired.

Nancy was a wonderful woman who always put everyone’s needs before her own, she loved to be surrounded by family and friends and especially loved to make people laugh. Nancy spent her summers with her family in Kingston, NH for 45 years. She so enjoyed and looked forward to this time with family every year.

Nancy is survived by her two daughters Janet Rapoza and Amy Rapoza, as well as her partner Alan Wood, her two sons Richard Ulbin and his wife Ann and Christopher Ulbin and his wife Joann, her Sister Susan Jones and husband Robert, her brother Bruce Lapierre and his wife Ann, her Grandchildren Elizabeth Rapoza-Rosario and her fiancé Mustafa Al Gburi, Philip Rapoza Rosario, Scott Brady Jr, Matthew Brady and Daniel Nelson, Benjamin Ulbin, Melissa Nystedt, Christina Ulbin, Andrew Ulbin, Michael Ulbin, Hunter Ulbin, and Alex Ulbin. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Chester Ulbin, her two sons Joseph A. Rapoza, and Robert Ulbin, her sister Marie Teal, her brother Thomas Lapierre, and her grandson Joseph Nelson.

Calling hours are Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 4 – 7 PM at Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Nancy on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen, MA 01844. Please meet the family at the church.
