Nancy Skene – Methuen, MA

Nancy Skene, age 72, living at Nevins Home in Methuen, MA for the past 5 years, passed away on January 23, 2022 after a long, valiant effort.

Nancy was sister to Patricia Boutin-Skene and Thomas Skene, aunt to 6 nieces and nephews and a great-aunt to many more.  She was the niece of Bertha Rothwell and Dorothy and William Haney and cousin to 13, including Cynthia Montecalvo, an ever-present support.  Thank you!! Nancy also had many brothers and sisters in Christ, who constituted her most loyal and consistent supporters.  Thank you!!

The family would also like to thank the staff at Nevins Home for their care of Nancy as she battled profound limitations. God bless you!!

Nancy was first and foremost a Christian.  Her life message to all who would listen was John 3:16, ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life’.  She loved the Lord and used her God-given gifts to serve. She loved crafting as a way to socialize and personalize gits and cake decorating that celebrated life’s events.  As health eluded her, Nancy turned to the Lord for solace and vocally encouraged others to do the same. Her greatest joy was the anticipation of meeting the Lord, hoping for Him to say, ‘well done, my good and faithful servant’.  The Lord has called her home, her mission here on Earth finished. It is truly well with Nancy’s soul.
