Nabil Bati, 69, of Methuen passed from our life on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen surrounded by his loving family.
Nabil was the son of the late Abdoh and Mariam Bati. Nabil grew up in Damascus, Syria. He completed his Undergraduate degree at Damascus University, completed his Master’s degree at Iowa University and his PhD in Food Science at Virginia Tech.
Nabil worked as a Professor of Food Science with an emphasis on oils and packaging at Damascus University for 30 years, inspiring his students to become the best that they could. He most recently worked at Bob’s Furniture Store in Salem where he enjoyed interacting with people as much as helping them chose their furniture. He was a talented classical guitarist, played the lute, and had the voice of an angel that encouraged everyone to clap and sing along. He was interested in the spiritual power of healing, he had a strong faith, and shared his positive energy and love to everyone he met. His smile and sense of humor became a part of all he knew. Although he will be missed by all, his love will stay in our hearts forever.
