Milton L. Colon – Methuen, MA

Milton L. Colon, known affectionately as Milton, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, in Peabody, Massachusetts, at the age of 63. Born on February 7, 1963, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Milton carried the warmth, strength, and spirit of his island roots throughout his life. He was the beloved son of Enid Colon Alvarez and Esteban Colon. From an early age, he understood the value of hard work, family, and perseverance, qualities that remained with him throughout his life and shaped the way he cared for those around him.

Milton received his GED at the Lawrence Adult Learning Center, an achievement that reflected his determination and commitment to building a better life. He went on to work at several places in maintenance, including Johnson & Johnson, Momentum, and C&W. Through each of these roles, he was known for being dependable, dedicated, and willing to lend a hand wherever he was needed. His work ethic and steady presence earned him the respect of coworkers and friends alike.

Above all, Milton was a family man. He shared his life with his loving wife, Felicita Colon, and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Cancel, and her husband, Brendan Cancel; his son, Ryan Colon, and his wife, Bianca Colon; his step-daughters, Frances Troche and Gladyeliz Contreras, and her fiancé, Daniel Andino. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Alica, Ibra, Nayeliz, Rylee, Blake, Jaden, Jordan, Braylon, Danny, who brought immense joy to his life and to whom he was devoted in every way. Watching his grandkids grow was one of his greatest pleasures, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Milton is also survived by his siblings, Steven Colon and his wife, Elizabeth, Maribel, Mandy, Awilda, Wanda and her husband, Rob, and Enid and her husband, Emilio, as well as several nieces and nephews who will remember his kindness, humor, and loving nature. His extended family knew him as someone who could always be counted on for a smile, a joke, or a comforting word. He had a way of making others feel welcome, and his presence brought light to family gatherings and everyday moments alike.

He was a man who enjoyed the simple and meaningful things in life. Milton had a love for classic cars, especially the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, and appreciated the beauty, power, and nostalgia that came with them. He also loved dogs and found comfort in their companionship. Most of all, he valued time spent with family, and those moments meant everything to him. Whether sharing stories, laughing together, or simply being present, Milton found happiness in the people he loved. Those who knew Milton will remember him as loving, selfless, and funny. He had a generous heart and a spirit that could brighten a room. He lived his life with devotion to his family and care for those around him, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
