Michael Gray – York, Maine

Michael Gray 31, beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend died unexpectedly during a cold plunge on December 10, 2022.  Born in Beverly MA, Mike was raised in Peabody.  He attended the Welch Elementary School, the Higgins Middle School and Peabody and Rockport High Schools.

Mike was skilled in many areas due to his curious nature and strong work ethic. His passion for travel and helping others was the catalyst in launching his successful moving business, Making Moves. Mike had a zest for life, was fearless and would try anything. He loved basketball, music, dancing, singing, yoga, and art.  He loved gardening and had a variety of plants of which he was very proud. He loved to read, have deep conversations, bask in the sun and the rain, take cold plunges, cook, drink tea and just bop around.

On September 4th, 2022, Mike married his soulmate Julie whom he adored.

Mike deeply loved his siblings to whom he was fiercely loyal. He loved his new nephew, Zephyr who was born the day after he was married. Mike was charismatic and silly. His genuine joyfulness will be missed by all who knew him.

Mike is survived by his wife Julie LoRusso; his father Peter Gray and wife Sadie Dayton Gray; his mother Suzanne (Girard) Gray and longtime partner Richard Mangano; his brother and best friend Daniel Gray and partner Emily Roberts; his sisters Julianna Gray and Melissa Gray; his grandfather Richard Gray; his grandmother Jennie Girard; his mother-in-law Jeannine Hannigan; his father-in-law Phil LoRusso; sister-in-law Emma LoRusso and his precious nephew Zephyr Lane Gray. Mike is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike was predeceased by his grandmother Donna “G-ma” Gray and his grandfather Edmond “Pep” Girard, both of whom he loved deeply.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mike’s celebration of life service on Saturday February 25th, 2023, starting at 1pm at Danversport Yacht Club, 161 Elliott St, Danvers, MA 01923.
