Matthew Mellman

Matthew Neal Mellman, 35, was born on January 4, 1988 in Fort Myers, FL. He was raised primarily in North Andover, MA and most recently lived in Lancaster County, PA with his beloved son David Francise Mellman. Matthew was a sweet, blonde boy. Matthew loved the Florida sunshine, but adapted quickly to Massachusetts, which he considered home. Matthew was a talented writer. He loved hiking and music as well.

Matthew passed away on September 25, 2023.

In addition to his son David, who was the absolute love and joy of his life, Matthew is survived by his heartbroken parents, Mark and Amy Mellman of North Andover, his loving sister, Kaitlyn Brennan and her husband Gregory Brennan and nephews Bradley and Cooper Brennan. Matthew is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a core group of lifelong friends.

Matthew was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Marilyn Wenzel of Wakefield, MA and Naples, FL and by his paternal grandparents, Murray and Barbara Mellman of Cape Coral, FL.

Matthew was a loyal friend and son and also valued his privacy.

In lieu of donations or flowers, please give your son a huge, long hug. Take your aunt out to lunch. Call your grandfather. Tell your daughter how beautiful she is to you.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday October 2, 2023 from 10 am to Noon at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway Methuen. A short service will follow the visiting hours at Noon on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, N. Andover.
