Marlene Marie Diodati, 45 of Methuen, Ma, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 15, 2023 at Mass General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Methuen on February 1, 1978, she was the daughter of Mario and Emilia (Rocha) Costa of Methuen. Marlene graduated from Georgetown High School, class of 1996. She cheered in high school and was captain of the cheering squad. She attended cosmetology school and became a hairstylist for many years. Marlene loved playing softball, playing cards, especially 45’s. She loved the holidays, especially Halloween, which was her favorite. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Surrounding herself with family and friends, reminiscing about the old times, making memories, taking pictures, making her loved ones laugh was truly what brought her joy and happiness. She was the life of the party and will be missed by so many.
Marlene will be deeply missed forever by her loving husband Michael Diodati and her beautiful daughter Ayva Diodati. She also leaves her parents Mario and Emilia (Rocha) Costa; sister, Liane Otero of Groveland, Ma; Her nephews, Gavyn Otero (who was her godchild), Karsyn Otero, DyMario Otero, and Gyanni Otero; Her grandmother, Germana Costa; Her aunt and uncles, Graziela and Jose Soares, Luisa and Jerry Neves, Helia and Tony Pimentel, Ana Mazalauski, Grace Dionne, Robert Dionne, Ilidio and Teresa Costa, Joe Costa, Helia Costa; many cousins and many friends. Marlene also leaves behind her mother-in-Law Patricia Diodati of Methuen, her brother-in-law William and Alison Veilleux, her sister-in-law Cherie Lemay as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins from the Diodati family.
Previously departed loved ones, her grandfather and grandmother Belmiro and Lourdes Rocha; her Grandfather Manual Costa; her aunt and uncle Adalberto and Lois Rocha; her sister Tania Marie Costa and her grandmother Phyllis "GIGI" Diodati.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Marlene’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Saturday October 21, 2023 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A short prayer service will follow the calling hours at 7 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
