Mark S. Kupiec

Mark S. Kupiec, 67, of Methuen passed away Saturday morning, February 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. 
Born in Pittsfield, MA on April 27, 1954, son of the late Casimer and Josephine Kupiec, he was a 1972 graduate of Taconic High School, where he played football. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT in 1978. 
In June of 1978, Mark started work at Burroughs Corp., which later became Unisys, where he worked for 30 years as a computer consultant. He was employed by B&L Associates prior to forming Kupiec Associates, LLC. 
Mark was very active in the Methuen youth sports programs, coaching his sons Keith and Steven, and coaching several years prior and beyond their years of participation. He was a director of the Methuen Youth Basketball program for the Waldie Division and a board member of Methuen Youth Football. He also volunteered as a coach for Methuen High School freshman football for 10 years. He taught his athletes not only how to play the game, but most importantly, he taught them skills outside of football that they could carry with them through life. Although he was a sports enthusiast, his family came first, and he was very proud of his sons Keith and Steven, and his grandson Cody. 
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Marcia; son Keith and his wife Jennifer and their son Cody; son Steven and his fiancé Kaylee. He also leaves his brother Chris Kupiec; brother-in-law Dave Keeler; and sisters-in-law Kathy Barrett Zeoli and Priscilla Sullivan as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 11:00 am in St Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. Guests are asked to meet directly at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Methuen Youth Basketball, MAIC/MHS Boosters (PO Box 22292, Methuen, MA) or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
