Mark J. Holden – Methuen, MA
Mark J. Holden, 59, lifelong resident of Methuen, MA passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023. Born on March 14th, 1963, Mark was raised and educated in Methuen, MA; employed with Raytheon for nearly 40 years rising through the ranks to an Empowered Official in Global Trade/Import Export. Additionally, Mark enjoyed landscaping and volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 60 (even after his sons were grown) and volunteered for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Division for 10 years. Mark enjoyed spending summers at the Hampton Beach family cottage and fishing with his son. Mark loved helping people and going to yard sales on weekends.
Mark was the loving husband of Diane (Boragine) Holden and proud father of David, Matthew and Alissa. Mark leaves behind a sister, Ellen (Holden) Gadomski of Methuen, MA; brothers Lee Holden and his wife Gail of Goffstown, NH; Wayne Holden and his wife Cindy of Methuen, MA; brother-in-law David Boragine and his wife Cynthia of Pelham, NH; mother-in-law Ida Boragine of Methuen, MA. Mark also leaves behind nieces Ashley (Gadomski) Rivas, Jade (Gadomski) Ayres; nephews Nicholas Holden and his wife Jill, James Holden and a great nephew Gabriel Rivas as well as an aunt, uncle and several cousins in Germany.
Mark is predeceased by his father James and his wife Christine (Cartus) Holden, Methuen, MA and his father-in-law Salvatore Boragine. Mark also leaves behind his beloved dog Blazer.
Calling hours will be on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Lucy’s Parish in Methuen, MA. Following the Funeral Mass, entombment will take place at Eternal Light Mausoleum in Salem, NH.
