Marilyn Trela Obituary

Marilyn M. (Sweeney) Trela age 69, loving mother of five, and adoring wife to husband Aliro (Jose)Guzman, passed away in the early hours of May 17, 2022 after courageously battling with multiple illnesses.

Marilyn was born in 1953 in Salem, Massachusetts. She grew up surrounded by her large foster family, she has biological siblings Nancy Covey and late husband Kenneth , Joanne Sweeney, and four foster siblings Donna Fereira and late husband Therodore, Maureen and husband Steven Wood, Evon and husband Carl tudisco, sister Patricia Stronach who she always says are her true siblings. She many aunts, uncles and cousins. She has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Marilyn was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman. She learned to be a compassionate woman from her loving parents Norman and Lorraine Couture of Andover, Ma. She was always a giving person, sharing her love and Joy with many people in her lifetime.  Marilyn instilled her family values into her children whom she adored. As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. She always told her 5 children and grandchildren how much she loved them and spoiled them as much as she possibly could. Marilyn has several honorary sons as she always says they are her children, Noberto Martinez, Javier Ortiz, Edward J Bannister, and Todd Bannister. Marilyn was a loving grandmother of nine and great grandmother of four. In her free time, Marilyn loved to go shopping and spend time with her family as often as possible. She will be greatly missed by her family and especially her children, daughter Cheryle Flores and Husband Wardy Castillo, son John (Shawn) Trela and wife Cara Morrison, daughter Michaela Paradis and life partner Giuseppe DiStefano, son Blaine Garcia, son Brenden Garcia who all adore her with all of their hearts“We know that we can’t have you but we’re happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.” May You find peace with Gram and Grampy in Heaven.
